2025년 4월 출간된 그림책 **<갈매기전>**의 원화 전시회를 두 차례에 걸쳐 개최하였다. 1차 전시는 '책방 마바사'에서 북토크를 겸한 소규모 원화전으로 진행되었으며, 2차 전시는 정동길에 위치한 '북촌전시실'로 자리를 옮겨 더 많은 관객과 만나는 개방형 전시로 이어졌다.
작가 서문
[...] 먹고 사는 문제에 있어서의 치열함이란, 그 정도의 차이는 있을지언정
인간 뿐만 아니라 살아있는 모든 것들이 마주하고 있는 냉혹한 현실이다.
그래서 간혹 경쟁은 전쟁처럼 무자비하다. 그런데 본능에 충실한 이 생존투쟁이 가끔은 놀이처럼 가벼워질 수 있다면...
유쾌한 한편의 연극처럼.
Following the publication of the picture book <The Tale of Seagulls> in April 2025, two consecutive original art exhibitions were held. The first phase took place at 'Mabasa Bookstore' as an intimate original art show paired with a book talk. The second phase moved to the 'Bukchon Exhibition Hall' on Jeongdong-gil, offering a more open and accessible experience for a wider audience.
Artist Statement / Exhibition Note
The fierce struggle for survival is a cold reality faced by all living things, not just humans—though the degree may vary. At times, this competition feels as ruthless as war.
However, what if this struggle for survival, rooted in primal instinct, could occasionally become as light as play? Like a delightful piece of theater.
