레오 에른츠라는 다소 이국적인 인물을 통해 어린 레오와 어른 에른츠의 두 세계를 '붉은 늑대'를 중심으로 담은 작품입니다. 총 3부로 구성된 이 작품은 레오 에른츠와 루루의 관계를 통해 인생의 진정한 성장과 성숙의 의미를 들여다보게 합니다. 사람과 사람의 관계, 과거와 현재의 시간의 관계, 어제의 사건이 오늘의 일상으로 연결되는 사건의 관계. 우리는 수많은 관계들로 현재를 살아가지요. 《안녕, 나의 루루》는 어제의 수많은 관계가 지금의 자신을 만들어 가는 삶의 이치를 보여 주면서 그 관계의 중심에는 따뜻하고 초콜렛처럼 진한 사랑이 있다고 말합니다. 작가는 달, 초콜렛, 안경을 상징적 장치로 사용하여 돌고 도는 사랑과 관계에 대한 이야기를 담아냈습니다.
This is a unique work that captures the two worlds of young Leo and adult Ernst—centered around the figure of the “Red Wolf”—through the somewhat exotic character of Leo Ernst. Hello, My Lulu reveals how those ties from the past come together to form who we are now, and suggests that at the heart of all relationships lies the power of love—warm and rich like chocolate. The author uses symbolic motifs such as the moon, chocolate, and eyeglasses to portray the cyclical nature of love and human connection.
