This exhibition explores how a single image and its fragmented parts can be connected, reconfigured, and transformed. The unfolded narrative of the whole is cut like pages and reassembled into sequences, while the artist intervenes with elements of improvisation and chance in the gaps. Through this process, the story escapes a fixed structure, expands beyond boundaries, and the flat image reveals unfamiliar textures, inviting new interpretations as the medium shifts from painting to book.

The book carries stories within the physicality of folding and unfolding. With each turned page, the whole momentarily disappears, while fragmented images emerge in sequence. This succession of fragments—this sequence—does not return to a single whole, but instead brushes against each other’s edges, transforming into independent times and spaces.

What happens, then, when an unfolded image folds and connects into another narrative? Or when the sequential images of a book merge into one? How do readers and viewers interpret and embrace such transitions? The artist experiments with these questions through the act of folding and unfolding, in both live performance and archival practices. The results may succeed or fail, but the act itself—Folding–Unfolding, observing, and recording—becomes the very purpose of this exhibition. Alongside, the artist presents previously unseen artist books, inviting viewers into her archive.
